Gabby's Select Spices now has White ground pepper. Pepper is actually berries that are picked about nine months after flowering. The berries used for White Pepper are ripened on the vine and soaked so that their outer hulls are easily removed. White Pepper is hotter, less subtle and mildly fermented than black pepper. It is often used in casseroles and salads. This product is about 5 oz, which is a little more than 1 full cup of seasoning. Compare to national brands! 2-3 times more* than national brands! Ground white pepper should be in everybody's kitchen as it adds a zesty flavor to any dish. While this seasoning is close to black pepper, it has a smoother skin and less pungent taste. It is beige in color so it blends well with dishes of similar color such as cauliflower, mashed potatoes, and light colored sauces
