Calcivet is a high-quality liquid calcium supplement for birds with added Vitamin D3. Especially vital during breeding, and should be given weekly to all birds. African Greys have a particular requirement for this mineral. Add Calcivet to drinking water or onto moist/soft foods, it easily absorbs into bones, nerves and muscles where needed. Without enough calcium a Parrot can develop problems with egg laying, slow moults, feather plucking, nervousness and respiratory problems. Calcium is involved in brain and nerve function and can improve behavioural problems such as feather plucking and chewing.
