Seal Length, 6 mil Seal Thickness, 600 Watts, Uses a Standard 110V Outlet American International Electric impulse hand sealers are a great option for lower volume applications such as the sealing of plastic bags and poly-tubing. This AIE impulse hand sealer has a 2 mm seal, ideal for sealing materials that are 6 mil thick or less. It is important to understand that a heat sealer with a cutter should be used for poly-tubing. Another rule of thumb is to purchase a sealer that is 2 inches larger than the widest bag that needs to be heat sealed. The extra inch on each side of the bag will allow a strong seal and faster operation. AIE impulse hand sealers create excellent air and watertight seals on plastics such as polyethylene, polyurethane, polyvinylchloride, polypropylene and other heat sealable materials. An AIE foot sealer should be considered for moderate volume applications and a AIE band sealer for high volume.
