Description
The pre-filter is a 5-micron, two-stage filtration system designed to handle a flow rate of 6-8 liters per minute. It is made from a food-grade, BPA-, and NSF- coconut shell carbon block, encased in a durable PP plastic housing. The filter measures 5 inches by 2.5 inches and effectively reduces sand, rust, bad taste, odor, color, VOCs, THMs, turbidity, corrosion, and other dangerous impurities. The outer layer of the filter is made of non-woven polypropylene, which captures larger sediments, while the inner carbon block removes chlorine and other odors. The filter is recommended for replacement every 2 months, or sooner if you notice a drop in water flow or if the filter becomes visibly dirty.
