Bacteria specifically developed for hardiness and their ability to adapt to a wide variety of environmental conditions. Aquavit seed will rapidly and safely establish the aquarium bio filter in freshwater and marine systems. Seed is formulated specifically for the aquarium and contains a synergistic blend of nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria found in no other product. Additionally, seed contains facultative bacterial strains which are able to adapt to either aerobic or anaerobic conditions, and which facilitate the breakdown of waste organics, ammonia, nitrates and nitrites.
